Industrial Wastewater Information to use as electrolyzer electrolyte

X-SEED undertakes a study to identify suitable industrial wastewater for use as an electrolyte in X-SEED electrolyzer, which works at supercritical water conditions. The objective is to find the most appropriate industrial wastewater candidates. The industrial wastewater targeted for this study must possess the following properties: it must be an aqueous electrolyte, classified as soft water (devoid of metallic particles, ions, chloride, or carbonate), free from organic matter, contain hydroxides (KOH, NaOH, or other Group 1 cations) at low concentrations (ranging from 0.01M to 1M), and exhibit a conductivity higher than 1 mS/cm.

Should you be able to provide a sample of industrial wastewater, the X-SEED Project will assess the feasibility of characterizing its properties under supercritical conditions. If the sample is determined to meet the requisite criteria, it will be further tested as an electrolyte in the electrolyzer during the later stages of the project.
