Industrial Wastewater Information for Catalyst Recovery

The X-SEED Project is aimed at reducing the reliance on Critical Raw Materials (CRM). One of the key strategies employed towards this objective is the recovery of catalytic materials from industrial wastewater. The project specifically targets wastewaters containing the following metals: Nickel (Ni), Cobalt (Co), Manganese (Mn), Lanthanum (La), Barium (Ba), Strontium (Sr), Iron (Fe), Molybdenum (Mo), and Magnesium (Mg). It is of particular interest that the counterion present in the polluted water be nitrate (NO₃).

If you can provide a sample of industrial wastewater, the process will commence with the physical and chemical characterization of the wastewater samples by Leitat. Upon confirmation that the sample meets the requisite properties, Particular Materials will conduct further testing to produce catalysts from the wastewater, intended for application in the X-SEED electrolyzer.
