On November 19th, as part of the European Hydrogen Week, a representative from the European Commission’s Representation Office in Barcelona to Leitat Terrassa’s facilities. The visit aimed to showcase the X-SEED project.
During the visit, Pau Bosch, project coordinator of X-SEED, provided a comprehensive overview of the project’s key objectives, progress to date, and the innovative technologies being developed. The team discussed the challenges in scaling green hydrogen production, including the need for advanced technologies and infrastructure to support large-scale industrial adoption.
One of the main goals of the X-SEED project is to lower down the cost of green hydrogen production, making it a viable alternative to fossil fuels across a range of industrial applications, from manufacturing to transportation. The European Commission’s support for the project highlights its crucial role in advancing the European Union’s green energy transition and achieving climate goals.
This visit highlights the strategic importance of X-SEED in decarbonizing key sectors and accelerating the shift towards clean energy solutions. It also highlights Leitat’s commitment to advancing research and innovation in sustainable technologies, defined at the following video:
