X-SEED Project Hosts First Workshop: A Milestone for Hydrogen Innovation

Recently, we successfully hosted our first workshop, marking a significant milestone for the X-SEED project!

With over 100 participants joining both in person and online, the event was a resounding success. We kicked off the session with a warm welcome introduction, followed by an inspiring opening from the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, setting the stage for an insightful and engaging discussion.

The workshop featured compelling presentations from sister projects funded under the Horizon-JTI-CLEANH2-2023-01-01 call. Highlights included:

  • AEMELIA presented by Gareth Keeley (CEA)

  • SEAL-HYDROGEN presented by Vicente Vert (Matteco)

  • REDHY presented by Tobias Morawietz (DLR)

  • EXSOTHyC presented by Maximilian Demnitz (TU/e)

  • X-SEED presented by Pau Bosch-Jimenez (LEITAT)

Each project provided valuable insights into advancements and challenges within the hydrogen sector, fostering rich discussions and knowledge exchange.

Complementing these presentations, we had technical lectures from industry experts:

  • Chiara Di Bari (Industrie De Nora) on catalysts and electrodes for water electrolysis

  • Umberto Eynard and Alessandro Arrigoni (Joint Research Centre) on sustainability and life cycle assessment (LCA) in electrolyzer development

For our in-person participants, the afternoon featured an exclusive visit to the Industrie De Nora laboratories, offering a first-hand look at cutting-edge research and development in the field.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all speakers and attendees—both onsite and online—who contributed to making this event a remarkable success. Your participation and engagement were key to this achievement. Thank you for being part of this important milestone in the X-SEED journey!
