How does the X-SEED project contribute to renewable hydrogen challenges?

The transition to clean hydrogen requires more than scaling up known technologies – it calls for innovation in areas still underexplored, especially those with low TRL (Technology Readiness Level) but high potential. That’s the focus of the X-SEED project.

At X-SEED, we’re working to unlock new hydrogen pathways based on circularity, industrial integration, and resource efficiency.

We’ve recently launched three online tools that help industries explore how they can contribute to – and benefit from – this transition:

  1. Got industrial wastewater with metals?
    Discover how X-SEED can turn it into catalysts to produce green hydrogen.
  2. Got industrial wastewater?
    Learn how it can feed electrolyzers, reducing freshwater consumption.
  3. Got waste heat?
    See how your excess heat can be harnessed to produce clean hydrogen.

 

These tools are designed for companies in water- and energy-intensive sectors that want to reduce waste, cut emissions, and lead innovation in the hydrogen economy.
